๐จ UX Design¶
โญ๏ธ Principles¶
Here are the core design principles that shape every pixel of the Visualli experience.
โญ๏ธ Design Principles
-
Progressive Revelation/ Progressive Disclosure / Gradual reveal Information unfolds as the user progresses. We start with essential structure and dive deeper as understanding grows. We respect working memory by revealing complexity only when needed.
-
Spatial Consistency Information stays where users put it. We maintain stable positioning to build spatial memory anchors that enable rapid recall weeks later. We're helping users create their own mental palace.
-
Visual Order (significance/cues) for Retention We use size, color, shape, and position deliberately to signal importance and relationships. Our visual prioritization aids immediate comprehension and long-term memory through dual coding.
-
Contextual Clarity Users should never feel lost. We provide persistent wayfinding that shows their position within the knowledge structure. Our breadcrumbs and relationship trails prevent disorientation.
-
Active Learning Through Interaction Every interaction we design should deepen understanding. Clicking, connecting, and annotations aren't just navigation, they reflect how users think. We mirror their cognitive process.
-
Intelligence Through Use Our system learns from patterns, which paths users take, where they pause, what they connect. We use this to surface relevant relationships and optimize for comprehension.
-
Joyful Discovery Learning should spark curiosity, not tedium. We create delightful interactions and unexpected connections that build positive associations. We know enjoyment enhances memory consolidation.
